The Ethiopia Urban Street Design Tool is developed by Ministry of Urban Development and Infrastructure in partnership with the Ethiopian Road Authority, the Road Safety and Insurance Fund Service and the Ministry of Transport and Logistics to provide assistance to users in Ethiopia in the development and visualisation of cross-sections and street design plans based on the Harmonised Ethiopia Street Design Manual.

The tool links to Streetmix where users can view their designs and edit them to the required specifications based on the recommended guidelines. Any cross-section template or designs generated via this site do not guarantee in any way whatsoever the approval by the Ministry of Urban Development and construction. Design applications should be sent to the ministry for approval as per the current regulations and approval processes.

The tool does not offer any assurances in regard to the accuracy of the designs generated in relation to any compliance with existing laws. Users are encouraged to read through the necessary regulations and ensure compliance. The tool might be altered, modified and amended to improve its quality and adherence to any changes to the manual or and if recommended by stakeholders. The tool might also be cancelled or withdrawn without any notice to users.
